In a directive on Monday, Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil stated that every one non-essential retailers that are standalone retailers and never positioned in procuring facilities have been allowed to function from 7 am to 2 pm on Tuesday. “However, non-essential shops can operate only from Monday to Friday, while essential shops can operate throughout the week,” he stated.
Asked if the salon and wonder parlor could be allowed to open, Patil stated, “All standalone shops, including salons and beauty parlors, have been allowed to operate from Monday to Friday.” Liquor retailers can even be allowed to operate from 7 am to 2 pm all through the week, he stated.
The PCMC stated that although all retailers have been given permission and their timings have been prolonged, the administration will maintain an in depth watch on them. “If any shop is found to be violating the COVID norms, it will be closed and action will be initiated against the shopkeeper,” he stated.
