Police arrested three on fees of black advertising and marketing of LPG in Pune

The Pune metropolis police has arrested three individuals on fees of promoting home liquefied petroleum gasoline (LPG) in a black market.

Police have recognized the accused as Market Yard resident Shabbiruddin Allalkhan (35), Shankar Sheth Road resident Balaji Gavalgadade (23) and Prasad Fawde (23).

Acting on a tip-off to policeman Wilson D’Souza, a criminal offense department crew led by senior police inspector Anil Shewale raided a tin shed in Ambika slums on Shankarseth Road.

Police arrested the three accused on the spot once they had been allegedly extracting gasoline from a home LPG cylinder. Police mentioned that the accused extracted gasoline from these LPG cylinders by means of their knobs. He allegedly replenished about 3 kg of gasoline in different cylinders and offered it within the black market at larger costs.

In a press launch issued by the police on Sunday, the police mentioned that the police have recovered 9 massive LPG cylinders, 22 small cylinders and gadgets price Rs 48,260 from the accused individuals.
