Possibility of third wave is actual, we will not say we aren’t prepared: Delhi CM Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday mentioned the potential of a 3rd wave in Delhi is actual and preparations are wanted to make sure readiness.

He was talking at an occasion organized to inaugurate 22 strain swing adsorption oxygen era vegetation in 9 hospitals within the metropolis.

“In the UK, we are seeing a third wave building up despite 45% of people being vaccinated. Though the intensity of the cases is low, that being said… the possibility of a third wave is real, we cannot say that we are not prepared,” Kejriwal mentioned.

The UK reported greater than 8,000 circumstances on Friday, probably the most since February.

Delhi confronted acute scarcity of hospital beds in addition to medical oxygen. We have to be ready for the next wave. We are already seeing cases rising in the UK… in this wave we faced many issues, we don’t have oxygen plants but the demand suddenly increased. The general demand in city hospitals is around 150 metric tonnes. It went up to 700 metric tonnes during covid. We did not have tankers to carry oxygen,” he mentioned.

Kejriwal mentioned oxygen storage vegetation and oxygen era schemes have been arrange in Delhi in the previous couple of days with the assistance of corporations like HCL and Maruti.
