Probe begins as MBBS college students seen tonsured

Following a video of a gaggle of first-year MBBS college students, all tonsured, going viral, the Haldwani Government Medical College administration has referred to as an inquiry to look into the ragging angle.

The disciplinary committee and the anti-ragging panel, which even have district administration participation, will discuss to the scholars and suggest motion if ragging is established. So far, the faculty administration, nevertheless, has not acquired any criticism from any of the scholars. In the video, tonsured college students in lab coats may be seen strolling silently in a line with heads down and palms behind their backs.

Talking to The Indian Express, medical faculty Principal Arun Joshi stated: “If it is proved that the ragging did take place on the campus, the harshest possible action will be taken against those responsible.”

“We have seen the video and college students may be seen strolling from their lecture corridor as much as the eating corridor. The guard was current and the video seems to be a number of days’ outdated. Some college students stated they shaved the pinnacle attributable to warmth and a few cited dandruff downside. But, they could have been pressured to present such causes,” he stated.
