Matilda, the daughter of superstar chef Gordon Ramsay, higher generally known as Tilly, was known as “a chubby little thing” by a radio host. Not happy, she responded to host Steve Allen’s body-shaming feedback in an Instagram publish, saying they have been “a step too far”.
After the incident, Gordon stated he was “proud” of his daughter’s response. “I think it was a breath of fresh air, level of standing up and saying, ‘We’re not going to tolerate this,'” he stated on an Instagram Live, reported BBC.
“It made me so proud that she stood up and said, ‘I’m not taking this,'” he stated.
The chef shared that he personally struggled with physique picture too, including one’s weight is “a very sensitive issue whether you’re a girl or a boy.”
Tilly, 19, stated that whereas folks have been free to share their opinions, “I draw the line on commenting on my appearance”.
Captioning her Instagram publish “#bekind”, she stated, “This just isn’t the primary and definitely is not going to be the final remark about my look and I settle for that and I’m studying to just accept myself. But please Remember that phrases can damage…”
She additional emphasised that she wouldn’t tolerate “people who think it’s okay to publicly comment and check someone’s weight and appearance.” Allen later apologized privately.
