PSPCL purchased 879 MW to fulfill energy demand

A Venu Prasad, CMD, Punjab Rajya Vidyut Nigam Limited knowledgeable that Punjab State Electricity Corporation Limited has procured 879 MW from Power Exchange to fulfill the rise in energy demand within the state resulting from summer season and paddy season.

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited has made preparations to fulfill the demand of as much as 13,700 MW. The buy of energy from the trade is especially resulting from failure of a unit of Talwandi Sabo Thermal Plant in Mansa.

PSPCL recorded a consumption of 2901 lakh items on twenty second June within the present paddy season. The CMD stated that the demand is anticipated to extend additional within the coming week.

PSPCL has operated all of the 4 items of GHTP Lehar Mohabbat, three items of GGSSTP Ropar and all of the accessible items of IPP. About 850 MW of electrical energy is being contributed by the hydro energy stations of PSPCL to fulfill the demand of paddy.
