Police have arrested a person, who allegedly cheated an aged lady by changing her ATM card with a faux one after which withdrew Rs 15,000 from an ATM heart in Hadapsar utilizing the unique card.
Police have recognized the accused as Swapnil Lalwani (32), a resident of Kalepadal. A 58-year-old lady has filed a grievance on the premise of which an FIR has been registered at Hadapsar police station, a press launch issued on Thursday mentioned.
According to the police, the girl had gone to withdraw cash at an ATM heart in Hadapsar space on May 5. Police mentioned the accused approached him saying the ATM was faulty.
Police mentioned he requested the girl to withdraw cash from one other ATM, and accompanied the girl to an ATM heart close to Vaibhav Theater in Hadapsar.
