NCP chief Eknath Khadse arrived on the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) Mumbai workplace on Thursday to document his assertion in a case associated to a 2016 land deal in Pune. Khadse stated the case towards him was “politically motivated”.

ED had issued summons to Khadse on Wednesday son-in-law girish chaudhary arrested, for alleged cash laundering.

“I’ll cooperate (within the ED probe). Entire Maharashtra can see what is occurring. Everyone is aware of it’s politically motivated. Have been questioned 5 instances. Now it’s being carried out once more. On reaching the ED workplace, Khadse stated, ACB has given report that there isn’t a proof.

The ED has alleged that Chaudhary and Khadse purchased land in Bhosari village of Pune for Rs 3.75 crore, whereas its precise worth was greater than Rs 31 crore. An ED official stated the land was purchased within the identify of Choudhary and the cash for the deal was allegedly routed by means of 5 shell firms.

Last October, the ED had registered an Enforcement Case Information Report towards Khadse, his spouse Mandakini Khadse, Choudhary and Abbas Ukani for allegedly grabbing Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation land in Bhosari village in Pune. The Ukanis are the true homeowners of the land.

The company has alleged that Khadse – who was the state’s income minister in 2016 – manipulated the true market worth of the land by utilizing his official place and authorities equipment. According to the ED, the deal has triggered a lack of Rs 61.25 crore to the exchequer.
