Vaccination in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has gained momentum with 18,67,652 doses administered up to now, out of which 7,95,146 doses have been administered since June 1. The most dose has been administered for the age group 18 years and above.

On 3 July, the PMC vaccinated 54,136 beneficiaries, the largest single-day vaccination within the metropolis since January 16, when the nationwide vaccination marketing campaign was launched. According to Vaishali Jadhav, PMC’s assistant medical officer and in-charge of the vaccination marketing campaign, “this included vaccination done at both private and government centers.”

While PMC is struggling to maintain vaccination numbers at a excessive stage, resulting from inadequate provide of free doses of vaccinations, personal hospitals are contributing to the marketing campaign by means of paid vaccinations.
