A forty five-year-old girl died after she fell from a tractor and was crushed beneath its wheels in Pune’s Mohammadwadi space on Tuesday.
Police have recognized the deceased as Nanda Yadav, a resident of Tarawade Vasti in Mohammadwadi. On Tuesday afternoon, Yadav and her husband Ashok had gone to a building materials provider for some objects, which they needed to do at their residence, officers on the Wanawadi police station mentioned.
“Around Tuesday afternoon, the material they bought was loaded onto the tractor trolley. Her husband asked Yadav to accompany the tractor driver and decided to follow them on his bike. She sat on the seating arrangement made behind the tractor driver. On a stretch of road behind the Mohammadwadi police post, which slopes upward, Yadav lost his balance due to the jolts caused by shifting gears. She fell down and got crushed under the rear wheel of the tractor,” mentioned sub-inspector Bholenath Ahiwale.
Police mentioned Yadav has suffered a severe damage on his chest. Her husband, who was following her, admitted her to a close-by hospital. The docs declared him introduced useless on arrival.
