Punjab Divyangjan Shaktikaran Yojana (PDSY) 2022 was accepted by the state cupboard on 18 November 2020. The new Punjab Disabled Empowerment Scheme can be applied in a phased method. The first part of the Persons with Disabilities Welfare Scheme goals to strengthen current packages to make sure that their advantages attain Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). In the second part, Punjab State Govt. 13 new interventions have been proposed for the empowerment of specially-abled individuals.
Punjab Divyangjan Shaktikaran Yojana (PDSY) 2022
The determination to implement Punjab Divyangjan Shaktikaran Yojana (PDSY) 2022 has been taken in a digital cupboard assembly chaired by the Chief Minister in Chandigarh. The new Disabled Empowerment Scheme will fill the backlog of Persons with Disabilities (PWD) in authorities jobs. Under this scheme, the Employment Generation Department will insist on filling the vacant posts of Divyangjan in six months.
Phase 1 of Punjab Divyangjan Empowerment Scheme
In part 1 Under the Punjab Divyangjan Shaktikaran Yojana, the scheme will concentrate on offering advantages of current schemes run by authorities departments to PWDs. It shall embody providers, advantages and rights in relation to healthcare, training, employment, safety and dignity in all spheres of life.
Phase 2 of Punjab Divyangjan Empowerment Scheme
Phase II There can be new initiatives and packages of PDSY. These new initiatives will cowl these points and necessities which aren’t coated by varied departments below any current centrally/state sponsored scheme or PWD-oriented schemes. The scheme focuses on convergence and integration of current schemes and packages for the disabled to maximise their advantages. In Phase 2 of the PDSY scheme, 13 interventions embody the next:-
- Treatment on Disabled Disability
- mobility help
- assistive gadget
- 5 days particular vacation in a calendar 12 months
- free training
- Empowerment of lady college students with disabilities
- leisure actions
- residence education for kids with particular wants
- State Award for excellent work performed by disabled lecturers.
Implementation of Punjab Divyangjan Empowerment Scheme
An advisory group headed by the Minister of Social Security and Women and Child Development, with all cupboard ministers as members, will oversee the implementation of the scheme. The state authorities below the supervision of all these members. Punjab needs to efficiently implement Divyangjan Shaktikaran Yojana for the welfare of individuals with disabilities.
