The cyber cell of the district police on Sunday arrested three individuals operating an inter-state racket of duping individuals by promising them provide of Remdesivir and Amphonex injections.

The accused Mandeep Singh, Kulwinder Singh and Amit Kumar have been produced in an area courtroom and remanded to four-day police custody. While Mandeep and Kulwinder are residents of Kurukshetra district of Haryana; Amit is a resident of Shivalik Vihar, Zirakpur. The accused used to work as a taxi driver.
SP (Traffic and Cyber Cell) Gurjot Kler revealed that the accused have been focusing on individuals who wanted medicines for his or her wards. He stated that it’s an inter-state gang working within the tricity.

The SP advised that Mandeep Singh’s job was to withdraw cash from completely different locations. After withdrawing the cash, the accused used to divide the cash amongst themselves.
The SP revealed that that they had recovered Rs 3 lakh and 4 ATM playing cards from Mandeep Singh, Rs 6.5 lakh and one ATM card from Kulwinder Singh and Rs 1 lakh money from Amit Kumar’s account. Bank accounts have been frozen.
