Bollywood star Rani Mukerji will debut as a author along with her “clear, intimate” autobiography on her birthday on March 21 subsequent 12 months, writer HarperCollins India introduced on Friday. The e book is a “deeply personal and downright honest” account of Mukherjee’s journey as an actor within the movie trade.
Mukherjee mentioned the autobiography highlights his private trials and tribulations and the impression it had on him as he navigated the movie enterprise and his profession.
“I have spent 25 years in the Indian film industry with so much love, I have never spoken my heart out about my life and my journey in cinema. As women in cinema, we are constantly judged. I don’t have time to stop, look at my life retrospectively and introspectively,” the 44-year-old actor mentioned in an announcement.
He mentioned that the memoir is his manner of remembering his childhood days.
Bushra Ahmed, senior commissioning editor for HarperCollins India, described Mukherjee as an actor “who stands out by the powerful portrayals of women in his films”.
“For many people who grew up within the 2000s, Rani Mukerji was all the pieces an actor must be: stunning, refreshingly completely different and a compelling performer. She belongs to the period of cinema when The stars used to shine on the silver display screen with out the glare of social media fame,” mentioned Ahmed.
