Real Madrid will face rivals Barcelona within the Copa del Rey semi-finals after the draw was carried out on the Spanish FA headquarters on Monday.
Osasuna will face Athletic Bilbao within the different semi-final.
Matches happen on 4 completely different dates in February, March and April, inflicting a scheduling headache with the Spanish FA as Real Madrid play within the FIFA Club World Cup in early February after which have two legs of the final 16 of the Champions League. Huh.
Real and Barca will meet within the first leg on the Camp Nou on March 1 and the second leg on the Santiago Bernabeu on April 4 or 5. Osasuna will play Athletic on 8 February and 1 March.
The semi-final is an opportunity for La Liga and European champions Real to avenge their 3-1 defeat towards Barcelona within the Spanish Super Cup two weeks in the past.
Barca are at the moment the league leaders after extending their result in 47 factors with their 1-0 win at Girona on Saturday. Real are second, 5 factors behind.
