On being denied a share within the ancestral property, a person allegedly strangled his aged dad and mom to dying at their residence in Ghaziabad’s Balram Nagar on Friday. Police have arrested accused Ravi Dhaka, who’s 40 years previous.
“We received information on Friday that a couple was found dead at their Loni residence. When we reached the spot, the house was ransacked and the bodies of both were found on different floors. On questioning the son in detail, we found that it was not a dacoity and he had committed the murder for financial gain. The accused also confessed to the crime,” mentioned Iraj Raja, SP Rural, Ghaziabad.
According to the police, Ravi realized that his dad and mom Surendra Dhaka (70) and Santosh (63) could be alone on Friday as his daughter-in-law had gone residence.
The couple had been residing with their elder son Gaurav and his household for the previous twenty years and handed away two years in the past. Ravi had tensions together with his dad and mom, after which they determined to exclude him from any share within the inheritance.
Police mentioned Ravi was allegedly planning to hold out the murders for fairly a while as his dad and mom had determined to present away the household property to his brother’s spouse.
The accused strangled his father with a wire on the bottom ground of his residence at round 9 am on Friday. He then went upstairs and strangled his mom to dying with a material, officers mentioned. Thereafter, the accused ransacked the home to make it seem as if a theft had taken place, police mentioned.
After committing the homicide, he went to play playing cards together with his mates. In the night, he went to his dad and mom and pretended to be shocked by the incident and known as the police.
Police mentioned they suspected Ravi as his assertion of occasions didn’t match together with his pretense.
