The petition alleging nepotism, abuse of energy and corruption on the minister’s behalf within the re-appointment of the Vice-Chancellor was filed by Congress veteran and former opposition chief Ramesh Chennithala.

The grievance, towards the backdrop of the federal government’s current choice to herald an ordinance to dilute the orders of the Lokayukta, a quasi-judicial anti-corruption physique, attracted consideration solely as advisory in nature.

Reacting to the decision, Minister Bindu stated pointless disputes would hamper the functioning of the federal government.

Meanwhile, Chennithala stated he would discover authorized treatments after learning the choice of the Lokayukta.
