Retirees Helped Mighty Mo to World Powerlifting Gold

Residents of a retirement village have raised funds to ship their gymnasium teacher to Florida to compete in a powerlifting competitors.

Maureen Proctor, 56, broke 4 world data within the 100kg (15.7st) class within the Masters division and gained the gold medal.

The residents and workers of Lark Hill Retirement Village in Nottingham raised sufficient cash for your complete journey.

Proctor mentioned: “It just overwhelms me that they put their hands in their pockets at such a time, and have been so supportive of me.

“People do not assume at 56 you’ll be able to carry weights like that. But powerlifting is for everybody, it is all-inclusive.”
