“In session with the BCCI medical staff, Rishabh Pant has been dropped from the ODI squad.
He will be a part of the staff earlier than the Test collection. No alternative has been sought,” the BCCI mentioned in a media launch.
Left-arm spin all-rounder Axar Patel was not obtainable for choice for the primary ODI.
As per sources, Akshar has suffered a rib damage after taking successful whereas batting on the nets. Though no particular cause was given for the 25-year-old Pant’s launch, he has been the primary staff all-format participant to overlook a break because the T20 World Cup in Australia final month.
