Rohit Sharma injured in thumb, taken to hospital for scan

India captain Rohit Sharma was taken to hospital for an X-ray scan after he was hit on his left hand at second slip through the second over of Bangladesh’s innings within the second ODI on Wednesday.

Rohit was seen in seen ache and walked away with a bloodied finger.

“India captain Rohit Sharma injured his thumb while fielding in the second ODI. He was assessed by the BCCI medical team. He has now gone for scans,” the BCCI mentioned in a press release.

Earlier, Bangladesh captain Liton Das gained the toss and determined to bat first.
