Joao Mendes, son of former Brazil ahead Ronaldinho, has signed a contract with Barcelona’s youth workforce, the Spanish membership introduced on Thursday.
The 18-year-old, who had earlier terminated his contract with Brazilian Serie B membership Cruzeiro, had been coaching with Barcelona’s youth workforce on a trial foundation since January.
According to ESPN’s report, Mendes’ contract will run until the summer season of 2024.
Ronaldinho, who now serves as a membership ambassador, spent 5 years on the Camp Nou as a participant from 2003–08.
He performed over 200 matches for Barcelona and scored almost 100 targets, serving to them win the Champions League and two LaLiga titles. He was within the Brazil workforce that received the 2002 World Cup.
