A Russian passenger airplane with 17 folks on board went lacking on Friday throughout a flight over Siberia.

The regional department of the Russian emergency ministry mentioned the An-28 airplane went lacking within the Tomsk area of western Siberia.

The Emergency Situations Office mentioned the plan had 14 passengers on board, together with 4 youngsters and three crew members.

Efforts are on to go looking a number of helicopters, officers mentioned.

The An-28 is a small short-range, Soviet-designed turboprop utilized by many small carriers in Russia and another nations.

The lacking airplane belonged to the native Silla airline and was flying from town of Kedrovoy to town of Tomsk.
