Jason Roy scored 113 for England however his century went in useless as South Africa bounced again to win the primary ODI on Friday.
Roy top-scored with 113 for England and his opening partnership of 146 off 118 balls with Dawid Malan (59) powered the guests to a cushty victory chasing 299.
But England have been all out from 146–0 to 271 in 20 overs as South Africa’s quick bowlers gained the sport in Bloemfontein.
Anrich Nortje took 4-62, Sisanda Magala took 3-46 and Kagiso Rabada took 2-46 for South Africa.
However, through the run-chase, there was a second of controversy when umpire Marais Erasmus (standing at short-leg) was seen trying in the other way, despite the fact that Jason Roy was going through a ball whereas batting on 97.
This led to claims by some cricket followers on social media that – “Even the umpires are disinterested in ODI cricket”.

Roy and Malan obtained England off to a promising begin and the South African-born Roy hit 11 fours and 4 sixes in his maiden ODI hundred towards a top-tier facet since 2019.
