‘Sand Mafia’: Pune Police Seizes Three Sand Trucks Worth Rs 31.8 Lakh; Book 6

Acting towards sand mafia, the Crime Branch of Pune City Police on Friday registered a case towards six individuals and seized three vans for illegally transporting sand.

An offense on this case was registered at Loni Kalbhor police station beneath sections 379 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, sections of the Environment Protection Act and different sections of the related legal guidelines.

The crime department staff on Friday raided the unlawful on line casino in Khedkar Mala of Uruli Kanchan and arrested 5 individuals on this case. When the Crime Branch staff was on its method again, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Srinivas Ghadge noticed three vans carrying sand on the Pune-Solapur freeway in Uralikanchan.

The truck drivers have been unable to correctly reply to the queries raised by the police concerning the transportation of sand.

Police mentioned the vans have been discovered illegally transporting sand with out permission from the federal government and with out fee of any income.

Police seized three vans with sand price Rs 31.8 lakh and registered a case towards six individuals on this case.
