India’s senior defender Sandesh Jhingan was on Wednesday named the AIFF Men’s Footballer of the Year, whereas midfielder Suresh Singh Wangjam was named because the rising participant for the 2020-21 season.
This is the primary time that the massive central defender has acquired the AIFF Player of the Year award, having gained the Emerging Player of the Year award in 2014.
The award winners had been chosen on the idea of votes forged by the coaches of the Indian Super League and I-League golf equipment.

Jhingan made his senior nationwide crew debut in 2015 in Guwahati and has since made 40 appearances for the Blue Tigers, scoring 4 targets.
He was a part of the Indian crew that lifted the Intercontinental Cup in 2018 and performed a memorable draw at house to Asian champions Qatar in 2019.
Jhingan has captained the senior crew on 5 events, most not too long ago in a world pleasant in opposition to Oman in Dubai in March. He was awarded the distinguished Arjuna Award final 12 months.
