The second section of the Malabar Naval War Gaming train with 4 quad members – India, US, Japan and Australia – will happen within the Bay of Bengal from October 12 to October 15.
The Navy mentioned that India shall be represented within the multilateral train by INS Rannvijay, INS Satpura, P8I Long Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft and a submarine.
The first section of Malabar 2021 was held within the Philippines Sea from 26 to 29 August.
For the US, the Navy plane service USS Carl Vinson shall be accompanied by two destroyers, USS Lake Champlain and USS Stockdale. The Japan Maritime Self Defense Force shall be represented by JS Kaga and JS Murasame, and the Royal Australian Navy shall be represented by HMAS Ballarat and HMAS Sirius. “The second phase of the exercise will be based on the synergy, coordination and interactivity developed during the first phase of the exercise and will focus on advanced surface and anti-submarine warfare,” the Navy mentioned.
