Ciro Immobile transformed a penalty to develop into Lazio’s all-time main scorer in Serie A because the Rome membership beat relegation-threated Venezia 1-0 on Monday.
The victory enabled Lazio to leapfrog Atalanta and Roma into fifth place, boosting its possibilities of direct qualification for the Europa League.
Immobile’s second-half objective was his 144th in Serie A with Lazio, breaking a tie with Silvio Piola, whose 274 with Lazio and different groups from 1930–54 make him the league’s total report scorer.
Immobile had already surpassed Piola to develop into Lazio’s prime scorer throughout all competitions.
It was an ideal warmup for Lazio forward of the Rome derby subsequent weekend.
