“I think we can safely say that this is probably the earliest example of a Sikh prayer book from World War I,” stated Alan Jeffries, head of kit and uniforms on the museum. “It is an incredible example, and to survive in such conditions, since 1914, it is a very important object and tells many different stories. It is very touching.”
