Popular playback singer Kalyani Menon handed away at a personal hospital in Chennai on Monday resulting from age-related sickness, sources near her household mentioned. She was 80 years outdated.

Sources mentioned Kalyani, mom of famend director and founding father of Mindscreen Film Institute Rajiv Menon, developed stroke signs and was instantly rushed to the hospital the place she breathed her final.

Kalyani Menon began her profession in singing as a classical singer within the Seventies. Apart from Malayalam, he has sung for high composers Ilaiyaraaja and AR Rahman in a number of Tamil movies.
