Amir, who has taken 259 wickets in 36 Tests, 61 ODIs and 50 T20Is, retired saying that he was mentally tortured by his teammates and coaches.
He was 18 when he was banned for 5 years and jailed for 3 months for spot-fixing in a Test collection in England in 2010. He was allowed to return to cricket just a few months again and was recalled by Pakistan in 2016.
In 2019, he didn’t wish to play Tests to concentrate on white-ball cricket and lengthen his worldwide profession.
