Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Virendra Kumar on Friday felicitated all 54 Indian para-athletes who participated within the Tokyo Paralympics and introduced a money prize of as much as Rs 10 lakh for the medal winners.

Paralympians who win gold medals in Tokyo Games will get a money prize of Rs 10 lakh every, whereas those that win silver will get a money prize of Rs 8 lakh. The para-athletes who win bronze medals can be given a money reward of Rs 5 lakh every.
