Police have registered a case of unnatural dying after BJP chief and actress Sonali Phogat was “brought dead” at a hospital in North Goa’s Anjuna, a senior police officer mentioned on Tuesday. “Preliminary investigation revealed that she had come to Goa on August 22 and was staying at a hotel in Anjuna. This morning she started feeling uneasy at a hotel and was rushed to the hospital where she was declared brought dead,” mentioned Deputy Superintendent of Police (Mapusa) Jeevba Dalvi.
He mentioned that the police acquired a name in regards to the matter at 9 within the morning.
He mentioned a case of unnatural dying has been registered in Anjuna.
“Statements of the witnesses concerned are being recorded and Anjuna Police has written to the Department of Forensic Medicine at Goa Medical College to appoint a panel of doctors for the postmortem examination,” he mentioned.
The DSP mentioned that additional investigation is on.
