A day after its defeat within the election of district panchayat chiefs, the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Sunday requested its management within the districts as to the explanations behind the lack of celebration candidates.
A letter written by the celebration’s state president Naresh Uttam Patek to the district celebration management mentioned, “As per the directions of the celebration president (Akhilesh Yadav), please clarify the explanations for the defeat of the SP candidates and their allies. Please submit the report back to the state headquarters of the celebration by seventh July.
Explanation has been sought from the district presidents, district common secretaries and metropolitan chiefs of the locations the place the celebration’s candidates have misplaced.
The BJP claimed victory within the election of district panchayat presidents on Saturday, saying candidates backed by the celebration gained 66 of the 75 seats, with ally Apna Dal bagging one, at the same time as the principle opposition Samajwadi Party. alleged that the ruling celebration had “kidnapped” voters and used “force” to stop them from voting.
Of the 75 seats, 22 candidates gained unopposed, one supported by the SP and the remainder by the BJP. According to celebration sources, the SP had gained 5 seats, whereas its ally RLD had gained one.
