SpiceJet Durgapur flight incident: DGCA suspends pilot’s license for six months

14 passengers and three cabin crew members had been injured within the incident on May 1.

A senior DGCA official mentioned on Saturday that the license of the pilot-in-command of the flight has been suspended for six months because of numerous violations.

The official mentioned that amongst different issues, the pilot may have dealt with the inclement climate situations higher. There was no remark from SpiceJet on the problem.

As it was a critical incident, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) was probing the matter.

There had been 195 individuals on board the flight, together with 2 pilots and 4 cabin crew.

Earlier, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had mentioned that 14 passengers and three cabin crew members suffered head, backbone, shoulder, brow and face associated accidents.

In latest months, numerous SpiceJet flights have confronted issues together with technical points. On July 27, the DGCA ordered the airline to function a most of fifty per cent of its flights for eight weeks in view of a number of incidents.
