‘Spiralling into a serious disaster’: India requires quick de-escalation as Russia launches ‘army ops’ in Ukraine

As Russian President Vladimir Putin introduced a “special military operation” in Ukraine, India’s high diplomat on the United Nations — studying from a ready script — expressed “regret” and stated that the “situation is in danger of spiraling into a major crisis”.
