Sri Lanka announce Dasun Shanaka-led squad for white-ball sequence towards India

Dasun Shanaka on Friday turned Sri Lanka’s tenth captain within the final 4 years when he was named captain of the 23-man squad for the six-match white-ball sequence towards India beginning on July 18.

The crew was introduced by Sri Lanka Cricket after receiving formal approval from Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa, who’s the son of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Recently sacked captain Kusal Perera is affected by a knee damage and left-arm pacer Binura Fernando is battling with an ankle damage.

The excellent news is that no different cricketer who returned from England examined optimistic after batting coach Grant Flower and knowledge analyst GT Niroshan examined optimistic for COVID.

Experienced gamers like vice-captain Dhananjaya de Silva, Akila Dhananjaya, Isuru Udana, Kasun Rajitha, Dushmantha Chamira together with thrilling batting abilities like Pathum Nisanka, Avishka Fernando and Charit Aslanka are a part of the squad.

SLC managed to maintain their first crew within the park regardless of a dispute over central contracts, which led to senior participant Angelo Mathews withdrawing, citing “personal reasons”.
