Sri Lanka ladies’s cricket tour postponed

Head coach Hasan Tillakaratne stated on Wednesday that the Sri Lankan ladies’s cricket staff’s tour of Pakistan, scheduled for later this month, has been postponed indefinitely.

The Sri Lankan staff was to go away for Pakistan on October 15 for the tour.

“It is disappointing that the series didn’t happen, it was called off by Pakistan because they had some logistics issues,” Tillakaratne advised reporters.

The three-match ODI sequence till 29 October would have been the primary tour of Pakistan by Sri Lanka ladies for a bilateral sequence.

The two ladies’s sides have been competing with one another since 1998. Sri Lanka Women toured Pakistan in 2006, however it was for the Asia Cup in Karachi the place they misplaced the ultimate to India.

The final bilateral sequence between the 2 international locations was hosted by Sri Lanka in 2018 when Pakistani ladies defeated the house staff 3-0.
