Sunil Gavaskar picks Siraj forward of Shami over Jasprit Bumrah for T20 World Cup

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar has urged the staff administration to select Mohammad Siraj instead of injured Jasprit Bumrah for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

“As of now, no one has been selected as the 15th player. I don’t know…has he gone to Australia with the team? He hasn’t gone. That’s why he hasn’t played any cricket. And it is a matter of concern,” he stated.

In the ODI collection in opposition to South Africa, Mohammad Siraj received his first Player of the Series award and seemed in good kind all through the collection.

On the opposite hand, Mohammed Shami, who’s in standby and one of many favorites to affix Team India in Australia, Jasprit Bumrah has not performed any cricket after testing Covid-19 constructive forward of the T2OI collection in opposition to South India. Africa in September

“There is little doubt about his high quality. The solely fact is that he (Shami) hasn’t performed any cricket. Coming again after covid is rarely straightforward. Your stamina may be a bit questionable – I do know it is a four-over recreation in T20I cricket. But see how Siraj is bowling. He is bowling brilliantly.
