Supreme Court extends interim keep on arrest warrant issued by Allahabad HC towards Noida CEO

The Supreme Court Wednesday prolonged the interim order staying the non-bailable warrant issued by the Allahabad High Court towards Noida chief government officer (CEO) officer Ritu Maheshwari for failing to look earlier than it in a contempt case, a day after it had refused to take action.

A bench comprising Justices SA Nazeer and Krishna Murari adjourned the matter for May 13 after one of many judges recused within the matter.

“Since the matter is urgent, list the matter again on Friday after taking appropriate directions from the Chief Justice. Meanwhile, interim order to continue,” the bench said. On Tuesday, a bench presided by Chief Justice of India NV Ramana stayed the order towards Noida chief government officer (CEO) officer Ritu Maheshwari.

Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi appeared for Ritu Maheshwari towards the order of the excessive court docket.
