Interacting with village panchayats and “pani samitis” (water committees) on the Jal Jeevan Mission, the Prime Minister mentioned that since independence, solely 3 crore households within the nation had faucet water until 2019. “However, since the launch of the mission, 5 crore households have piped water connections,” Modi mentioned.

He mentioned, “Today water is reaching each family in about 1.25 lakh villages of the nation. India has achieved quite a bit within the final 2 years as in comparison with the final 7 a long time.
