Between 22 April and 25 May, the Pune Rural Police obtained roughly 75,500 e-pass requests to journey through the lockout. According to official figures, of those, the police have authorised 18,200 requests whereas the others have been rejected.
The e-pass system was reintroduced in Maharashtra on 22 April, days after full lockout was ordered within the state as circumstances elevated through the second wave.
Applications will be made via the Maharashtra Police portal or immediately within the private police jurisdiction to acquire approval to journey for emergency causes together with household deaths, medical emergencies, transportation of important companies, marriages and many others.
Appropriate paperwork must be submitted together with the applying. These e-passes are supposed to journey inside the district, inter-district or exterior the state.
The Pune Rural Police is likely one of the three police jurisdictions within the Pune district and its areas of accountability embrace the Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Commissionerates in addition to the agricultural and semi-urban components of the district.
