Taking notice of the allegations made by wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik, the Sports Ministry has sought a proof from the WFI and directed it to “respond within the next 72 hours on the allegations made”.

“If the WFI fails to submit a reply within the next 72 hours, the ministry will initiate action against the federation in terms of the provisions of the National Sports Development Code, 2011,” the ministry mentioned.

In view of the developments, the ministry has additionally canceled the nationwide camp, which was to start from Wednesday on the SAI heart in Lucknow.
