The authorities has terminated the companies of three Indian Air Force (IAF) officers for lapses that led to Firing of BrahMos missile from a base in Haryana In March this 12 months, Joe landed close to the city of Mian Channu in Pakistan.
A press release issued by the IAF mentioned that the missile was fired resulting from deviation from commonplace working procedures (SoP) and these three officers have been held accountable. According to stories, these three are of Group Captain, Wing Commander and Squadron Leader ranks.
A Court of Inquiry into the incident was carried out by the IAF and presided over by Air Vice Marshal RK Sinha, Assistant Vice Chief of Air Staff (Operations).
The IAF assertion mentioned {that a} BrahMos missile was by accident fired on 9 March 2022 and {that a} Court of Inquiry (Col) constituted to determine the details of the caseIncluding fixing duty for the incident, it was discovered that the deviation from the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by the three officers resulted within the unintentional firing of the missile.
“These three officers have been primarily held answerable for the incident. The Central Government has terminated his companies with speedy impact. On August 23, 2022, the officers have been ordered to be dismissed.
After the incident, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh made a press release in Parliament assuring each the homes that the missile system could be very dependable and protected. “In addition, our security procedures and protocols are of the highest order and are reviewed from time to time,” he mentioned in his assertion.
