TMC minister cycles 38 km for meeting as petrol value crosses Rs 100 in Kolkata

West Bengal Labor Minister Becharam Manna staged a protest by biking 38 km from his residence in Hooghly district to succeed in the state meeting as the worth of petrol crossed Rs 100 in Kolkata.

Manna, the TMC MLA from Singur, who rose to prominence with the motion in opposition to the Tata Nano manufacturing unit within the late 2000s, was accompanied by some celebration staff.

He left the home at eight within the morning and reached the Legislative Assembly constructing in Kolkata round 12.30 pm to attend the continuing session. “The steep rise in fuel prices is the latest failure of the Narendra Modi government. The price of petrol in Kolkata has crossed the century mark and we are opposing it,” he instructed reporters.

He claimed that the BJP-led authorities on the Center was squeezing the frequent man in each attainable approach, whereas the Trinamool Congress authorities within the state was attempting to supply reduction to the folks with its social welfare tasks.
