Tokyo Paralympics: Sumit Antil wins gold, breaks world report thrice

Sumit Antill broke the world report thrice with three of his six javelin throws within the closing of the Tokyo Paralympics on Monday. With this, World No. 1 within the F64 class, Sumit Antil received India’s second gold on the Tokyo Paralympics and the primary gold in athletics.

Sumit was initially a wrestler however in 2015 an accident stopped his life. He gave up his dream of changing into a wrestler however continued on the trail of sports activities.

This was India’s seventh medal in these Games. Shooters Avani Lekhara and Sumit have received gold medals. Has received three silver in athletics and one in desk tennis. He additionally received a bronze medal in athletics.
