The Center on Wednesday permitted the repatriation of 1984-batch Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS officer Durga Shankar Mishra to his mother or father cadre for “proposed appointment” as UP chief secretary.
Mishra, presently the secretary of the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, was because of retire on December 31. As per the DoPT order, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet permitted Mishra’s repatriation. Senior bureaucrat Manoj Joshi took over because the housing and concrete affairs secretary, PTI quoted an official as saying.
