A 21-year-old man has been booked for raping a minor lady and posting a video of the crime on social media platforms, police stated on Sunday.
Brijendra Singh Rawat, station home officer of Bhopa police station stated, “A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a friend at a coaching centre.” “A rape FIR has been registered and we are probing the matter,” he stated. He stated that the accused is absconding at current.
According to the criticism lodged by the sufferer’s household, the incident happened in January however the sufferer didn’t inform her household concerning the incident.
“The accused had reportedly recorded the entire incident and later shared it on social media on Saturday. When the victim’s family came to know about the incident they lodged a complaint with the police,” the SHO stated.
The accused have been booked beneath the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and sections of the IT Act.
