An Amtrak practice operating between Seattle and Chicago derailed in north-central Montana on Saturday afternoon, injuring a number of individuals, the practice company stated.
Amtrak spokesman Jason Abrams stated in an announcement that 5 automobiles of an Empire Builder practice operating from Seattle to Chicago derailed close to Joplin, a metropolis of about 200, at 4 p.m.
There have been about 147 passengers and 13 crew members on board the practice, Abrams stated, including that Amtrak is working with native authorities to maneuver the injured passengers and evacuate all different passengers safely.
