Uttarkashi Avalanche: Unhealthy climate hampers rescue efforts of lacking climbers

According to the NIM, twenty-nine members of a crew of the Nehru Mountaineering Institute went lacking after being hit by an avalanche on their approach again from the summit.

So far 26 our bodies have been recovered and three are nonetheless lacking.

Of the twenty-six our bodies recovered to date, 4 have been handed over to their households. Efforts are being made to convey down the remainder.

Families who’ve come to Uttarkashi from completely different components of the nation are getting impatient as a result of climate circumstances hampering the search operation.

District Disaster Management Officer Devendra Patwal stated that air rescue operations could be resumed solely after the climate improves.
