Veteran actor and comic Mehmood’s sister Meenu Mumtaz has handed away. She was 79 years outdated.
Mehmood’s youthful brother, producer Anwar Ali, mentioned in an announcement, “It is gloomy to report that my pricey sister Meenu Mumtaz has handed away in Canada. Film fraternity, press, media, followers, mates, many years of affection And his deepest gratitude for the appreciation.” Meenu was the aunt of musician Lucky Ali.
Anwar Ali’s spouse, Mona Mathur Ali instructed indianexpress.com, “Meenu lived in Toronto, Canada for over twenty years. She was not conserving effectively for just a few years and died as a result of outdated age associated well being issues. He died at round 1.30 pm India time. His final rites can be carried out in Toronto itself.”
Meenu Mumtaz appeared in a number of Hindi movies of the Fifties and Nineteen Sixties, primarily as a dancer and character actor. Some of his notable movies embrace CID (1956), Naya Daur (1957), Taj Mahal (1963), Gaban (1966), Zameer (1975).
