Vivek Agnihotri earlier informed Hindustan Times, “I’ve by no means regarded on the Oscars in my whole life. This will not be a criterion to guage the veracity of a movie.” When Anurag Kashyap commented about why RRR should be chosen as India’s entry and not Kashmir Files, Vivek had said, “If any is saying that (The Kashmir Files) should not go to the Oscars, so the primary query is: why is he so afraid of the movie? Second: why would not he need Hindu genocide tales to be informed to the world? Third, will he genocide? Is going to do?”
